The Morning
Originally written by Shuntaro Tanikawa in Japanese,

It's the sky
who wakes up earlier than anyone
'Cause the night is so shy
it always blashes
when touched by the Sun's hand
All the dream children
going back to their dreamland
Everybody's waiting
with holding their breaths
The earth is turning around
Slowly and so silently
Listen to the subtle sounds
before the first "Good morning" is said
We know the Sun is a star so faraway from here
But why does it seem to be so near?
The light comes softly
Into the heart lost in a dream
Dazzling, dazzling, dazzling
The day turns today, the day no one has ever experienced
Nobody-owned jewels
Can be found everywhere
All the Leaves, the stems, even the roots
Are laughing
Titillated by the light
The birds have already waken up
Also the ants have
Maybe the moles too
Nothing ends
Everything is starting
Scent of grasses
Scent of winds
Scent of lives
Say
"Good morning, the Sea"
"Good morning, the Sky"
"Good morning, Today"
